RAND MUTUAL SOLIDIFIES QUALITY FOCUS WITH ISO 9001 ACCREDITATION

RMA HQ, PARKTOWN, 22 APRIL 2025 — Rand Mutual (RMA), has successfully achieved its ISO 9001 certification, an internationally recognised standard for quality management systems. This significant milestone proves RMA’s unwavering commitment to providing high-quality services and exceptional customer experiences to the mining, metal, and related industries it serves.

Founded to support injured miners, RMA has evolved to offer comprehensive workmen's compensation (COID) and a range of supplementary and standard insurance solutions. The pursuit and attainment of ISO 9001 certification at this pivotal time of rapid growth highlights RMA’s dedication to ensuring consistent, efficient and scalable processes across its operations.

The rigorous certification process involved a comprehensive assessment of RMA’s core processes against ISO 9001 requirements. This included gap analysis, meticulous documentation, focused team training, and internal quality audits. The final stage involved external auditors who confirmed RMA’s adherence to the stringent standards.

This achievement is a result of the collective effort and dedication of every team at RMA, including Onboarding, Claims Management, Customer Services, IT, and Human Capital, with significant contributions from our Group Operations and Quality Management teams.

The alignment with ISO 9001 standards has already yielded tangible improvements, including the introduction of Visual Operations Management for enhanced performance monitoring, the standardisation of core processes, improved client feedback mechanisms, and strengthened operational risk controls.
